A freezing cold day but we took a friend's dog for a walk into town, stopping to chat to the sheep en route!

Christmas is nearly upon us, the tree is up and there are a multitude of decorations to be photographed for weeks on end now...!

Nothing like a gingerbread latte on a chilly day after walking round Cambridge with a bunch of photographers!

Everything is so pretty in the countryside surrounding our village - the small amount of snow we had in one day was frozen solid for around two weeks - difficult to drive on, but making for very scenic views.

Freeeeezing weather in the UK at the moment, but these were the biggest icicles I could find in my garden!  Still pretty against the green of the garden shed window!

Snow Fun!

The snow may be a pain to us adults but for the children it's a time for fun, fun,fun!  The sledges come out, the layers of woolies go on ... and the cheeks go pink in the cold air...but every second is enjoyed!

An Oxford Square

Spent a most enjoyable photographic weekend in Oxford - swapping ideas, learning new stuff and of course, photographing anything that did or didn't move...!

Fen Fungi Fun!

We went down to the woods today for a two hour stroll through some beautiful woodland to collect fungi!  This was organised by mycologist Jonathan Revett, who then proceeded to identify and tell us about the various fungi everyone had gathered.  Fascinating stuff!

Web Wonder

I haven't blogged for a while but I am still busy taking photographs round and about... I even take some that don't involve people! I love misty mornings this time of the year because it makes the spiders webs beautifully dew drop laden!

Carrie and Craig

It was a real pleasure to photograph Carrie and Craig's wedding today at the beautiful Hungarian Hall, near Woodbridge.  The rain held off for us, and the day went smoothly and perfectly, with their guests enjoying a few lawn games (croquet, boules) on the lawn outside the stunning marquee. It took us a while to achieve a heart shape with the Boules balls... but thanks to Carries sister, we got it right eventually! I wish Carrie & Craig the very best for their future and hope they enjoy their month in the USA!

Beautiful Beccles...

and of course a beautiful bride getting married in Beccles church! Thanks to Celeste & Jason for smiling throughout for my camera and for posing in places that didn't look like they ought to be posed in! 

The beautiful Cornwallis Hotel...

... was the venue for a super wedding today.  The weather held off for us and a wonderful time was had by all.   It was a real privilege to be there to capture the moments at Kelly & Ross's wedding and I know they will be very happy together! My warmest congratulations go to them both.

A family wedding

The rain thankfully stayed away for a really lovely, intimate family wedding today! Many congratulations to Kelly and Will, it was a super day and I wish you the very best for your future together!

A perfect wedding!

Even though the sun decided to hide itself behind clouds today, it didn't spoil the mood or the photographs - what a lovely couple and two such stunning venues I was spoiled for choice!

Beach Wedding

It was the most gloriously sunny and HOT day today for a wedding which started at Badingham Church, with the reception at the White Lion Hotel in Aldeburgh and I was glad we waited till the sun was setting before taking the "signature shots" - the light was stunning...A perfect end to a perfect day, spent with the nicest of people! I wish Andre and Emily every happiness in their life together!

Beaches and fields....

I spent the morning at Southwold ...and the evening back at the poppy field... it was really good to spend time with two lovely couples whose weddings I'm photographing in the next month or so!

Showers and Flowers

I was a little nervous about this evening's pre wedding photo shoot, because it had been raining - torrential rain! - on and off for most of the day.  But I'm so glad we decided to head for the poppy field as the rain held off for us the whole time and we even got a glimpse of the sun at the end of our shoot!  Thanks to Carrie and Craig for being such natural models, and I'm really looking forward to shooting their wedding (hopefully NOT in the rain!) in August!

Poppies Galore!

I dragged my two favourite (and usually willing, if slipped a few coins!) models out to come and pose for me in a local field a friend kindly guided me to.

Such a beautiful place, perfect for catching all manner of summer shots!   

 

We also stumbled across a family of deer in a wheat field!

Wet & windy Wells...

Even in adverse weather, it pays to always carry a camera about (but beware flying sand!). Wells is a beautiful place to visit even in a force six gale with the odd heavy shower...

Bluebell time!

Had a fabulous day out starting in some bluebell woods (location strictly secret!), followed by a few hours on the beach! If you know of a great location near you and would like a lifestyle photo shoot... give me a call!

Summer time!

Well... not quite as it was actually quite chilly outside this evening... but these are the sort of evenings when the light is perfect to find a field and shoot some kids (or adults even!).

Birthday Celebrations!

I had the pleasure of spending an hour with Megan and her family this morning - it was Megan's 18th birthday and her sister bought her a photoshoot for her present.


I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as I did taking photos of them!

A day at the seaside

Headed over to Wells next the Sea today with Bev and met up with some lovely young people for an informal photoshoot session. Got some fabulous shots in the sunshine - they were all very brave wearing a selection of clothing that wasn't quite warm enough to beat the chilly wind! Wells was a stunning setting and the models were just great too, thanks to you all for smiling through your goosepimples!

Birthday Shoot!

It was my pleasure to photograph a lovely bunch of teens today, they were all so gorgeous and knew just the right poses to make to make my job easy!

We even braved the awful weather to do a few shots outside - well done for keeping smiling girls!

Location scouting

One of the things I always do is check out locations and venues before a shoot. Today, my photographer friend Bev and I, headed to my local town to check out the area for a photo shoot next Friday.

We also headed over to the Cornwallis Arms where we both have weddings to shoot there later in the year. It's a fabulous place, simply brimming with beautiful gardens and I can't wait to photograph a wedding there in July!

Time for a change

I got together with Bev, my photographer friend and her daughter, Hannah who is a professional make up artist - and this is the result! A makeover and photo shoot is a great way to boost your confidence, and at the same time have some laughs and FUN! It would also make a perfect birthday or Mothers day treat!
